When Prez informed a former colleague of the birth of Matilda on IM the other day, he joked to said colleague that he could type her name as ~ (tilde) being that Tilda is one nickname for Matilda. Said colleague then pointed out that we already have a - (Dash) and that we are the ( ) (parens aka parentheses).

Doh.

Funny, but completely accidental.

So our family is (-~) ?

HAHAHAHA.

5 years already, where does the time go?

Only a couple more hours left to vote in the poll, and then after 11.30am EST I'm off to NYC and to get whichever one comes out ahead, as well as meeting PreZ for lunch and hitting up the Fluevog store.

PreZ started off feeling a little icky this weekend, and I he passed on his then-budding headcold on to me and even Dashiell. Thankfully the kiddo's only a little sniffy rather than fully congested, but I've been emitting plenty of mucous. Fun. As long as this cold doesn't progress to the coughing stage. That is absolutely the worst part of any cold for me... I can deal with all the other stuff, the congestion, the sore throat (which is absent at the moment, thankfully), the sinus headaches and all that, but the coughing drives me nuts. And no cough medication ever really works to suppress it anyway.

So time to dig into the vitamins and echinacea again to thwart this.

It's still summer damnit, I'm not supposed to have a cold yet :P
