On July 14, 2005, PreZ and I welcomed our son Dashiell Vincent into the world.
On March 25, 2008, PreZ and I welcomed our daughter Matilda Anaïs into the world, and Dashiell became a big brother!

Originally from Holland and currently residing outside of NYC after a stint in Sydney Australia. I enjoy travelling, even though a fair bit of recent travel was necessity more than pleasure.
I'm into goth, and also webdesign. My personal site can be found at http://www.silentgarden.net/. I love to read and favourite authors include Caitlín R. Kiernan, Storm Constantine, Freda Warrington, Poppy Z. Brite, Kim Wilkins, Neil Gaiman and many more. Book collecting is becoming the bane of my bankaccount ;) I also run the fanlistings for Storm and Freda and I maintain a fansite for Freda here.
Occasionally I post screenshots of designs I've done or am working on, they're linked in the Memories section if you're interested. A decent portfolio will be forthcoming on my personal site, eventually.

I apologise in advance to those people who I don't friend back, or who get unfriended after being friended for a while. I have no interest in any drama, so I'll state this point blank: Sometimes I don't check my info frequently, and don't notice new additions to my 'friends of' list. I also just don't have the time to keep up with LJ that well all the time, and so if you're not someone I know well, or if you don't update much, or if you're not someone whose LJ I find compelling reading (e.g. nothing but song lyrics and quizzes or whining), the odds are you might not end up on the list, or you might end up culled from it.
If this hurts your feelings, I'm sorry, however it's only the internet, so deal. If you find this a reason to get really upset, then I suggest you step away from your computer and go outside and deal with some real life for a fucking change. The vast majority of my posts are public anyway, so it shouldn't make a huge difference if you wish to friend me regardless. It just seems a bit pointless to me to have LJs on my friends list that I end up scrolling through and not reading. I'm sure you'll also appreciate the honesty.
